Traditional wedding customsYou will be received on your wedding day with the traditional German “log sawing wedding custom”:The bride and groom should stand side by side even in the most difficult times and overcome obstacles together, hence the tree trunk symbolically blocking the common path they walk along together. The bride and groom work together to cut the trunk and thus master the obstacle as a couple. We then serve you bread & salt: According to the old custom, love, happiness and prosperity will never be far away if both are shared and consumed by the bride and groom together. |
